Electric Impact shredders use rotary lawnmower
technology with a high-speed spinning blade providing the cutting power,
using a low-torque but high-velocity series motor. These machines are
ideal for chopping through green folliage, leaves and lawn debris with
the odd few twigs and small branches thrown in. Don't get me wrong,
most of these machines will cope with reasonably thick branches too but
are louder than their more expensive refined siblings. Drum shredders deploy a low-speed but high-torque induction motor, ideal for cutting through tough branches. Turbine shredders
